iPhone 11 Pro Max situation: Completely dead phone and not responsive to anything at all

iPhone 11 Pro Max - Dead/Unresponsive after full night of charging

iPhone was complete dead.

All I could remember from the previous night was that the phone was getting warm while using it.

So I tried to close all the app, then later on it sort of went away. Then I put the phone on charge and this morning and it was completely dead.

Contacted Apple via my other device.

They asked me to go thru some diagnostics steps, including press volume up, press volume down and then press and hold power for 10 seconds. I tried that at least 10 times. so far this is taking at least half an hour.

At some point, I switched the charging cable/older charger.  Not sure if it did anything, for some reason I tried the reset again, and miraculously the iPhone logo appears.  There is no way to find out what happened. Apple wants me to wait for 24 hours to see if the issue comes back and at that moment they want me to setup an appointment for a a technician to take a look

Hissing noise from iPhone 7 plus. Does it exist on older models?

Brand new iPhone 7 plus have hissing noise. Websites have mixed reaction about it. But this made me look at the older iPhone (6 plus) and see if there is a hissing noise. And to my surprise, there is a slight noise. But in iPhone 7 plus, it sounded worse.

Apple support asked me to take the phone to the Apple store and they said if it cannot be repaired, they will replace it. Lets see. I will update the post after the store visit.

In the mean time please update your iPhone to iOS 10.0.2. The update fixes the following issues:

  • Addresses and issue that could prevent headphone audio controls from temporarily not working
  • Resolves an issue that caused Photos to quit for some users when turning on iCloud Photo Library
  • Fixes and issue that prevented enabling some app extensions.

Update (9/24/2016): Swapped the phone for a new one. Noise is still there.
